CtrlS Datacenters signed a ₹10,000 crore letter of intent with the Bihar government for a proposed 150 MW hyperscale AI facility in Bodh Gaya and inaugurated a ₹400 crore data centre in Patna. Located in the Patliputra Industrial Area, the Patna site has 12 MW of IT load capacity with scope to expand on demand and opened in the presence of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. No construction or commissioning timeline was disclosed for Bodh Gaya. Founder and CEO Sridhar Pinnapureddy said: "We are committed to strengthening Bihar's digital infrastructure and building a robust IT ecosystem through our future-ready datacenters, designed to serve the evolving needs of hyperscalers, enterprises, and startups." He credited Bihar's policy environment and incentives and said the company is bringing significant investments and employment opportunities to the state. The Patna facility is described as disaster-resilient and energy-efficient with military-grade security, serving enterprises, government institutions, hyperscalers and technology businesses across Bihar and eastern India. CtrlS began operations in 2007, operates 19 data centres in nine Indian markets, plans more than 4.4 GW of capacity by 2030, and intends more than 20 edge data centres in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
