Dallas I-45, I-20 Shut; I-30 Closure Planned

A police standoff shut down the I-45 and I-20 interchange in southern Dallas in both directions, with emergency vehicles on scene and traffic backed up for miles. Separately, TxDOT plans to close all eastbound and westbound lanes of I-30 through downtown Dallas from Saturday night until early Monday for work on the I-30 Canyon project. Drivers are being directed to use SH 366/Woodall Rodgers Freeway and should expect delays; the project also involves ongoing closures and lane restrictions on nearby streets.
