Dallas Judge Faces Probe Over Racial Remarks
A misconduct complaint against U.S. District Judge Ada Brown followed an April 2026 Dallas hearing in which she repeatedly directed racially charged remarks at attorney Ezra Young, who is Latino and represents a Black professor suing over a denied tenure decision. A transcript quoted Brown questioning Young’s identity and accusing him of White privilege, including calling him a “White savior” coming to help Black lawyers. Young filed a complaint, and Brown is under judicial investigation; she has defended her remarks in a lengthy written response. Brown was temporarily removed from her docket earlier this month, according to a Bloomberg Law report.
