Dana White Says He Offered Shakur Stevenson Release From Zuffa
Dana White said he offered Shakur Stevenson a release from Zuffa Boxing and that Stevenson’s team accepted, describing the split as amicable. Stevenson has said he requested the release after waiting for fights that did not materialize, including after spending about eight weeks in training camp; the partnership ended before he fought for the promotion. White cited their brief relationship, which lasted only a few months, and declined to detail the negotiations. Now a free agent, Stevenson says he plans to pursue major fights and establish his own promotional company.
