Dayton RTA to eliminate two bus routes, reroute riders starting Sept. 6
The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority will discontinue the North Community Connector and Kettering’s Route 28 beginning Sept. 6. The North Community Connector links Trotwood, northwest Dayton and northeast Dayton, while Route 28 serves areas near Greene Town Center and Kettering Health’s main campus. Several other routes will be modified to preserve service where demand is strongest, including changes affecting Shroyer, Stroop, Free Pike, Woodman Drive and the Kettering Recreation Center. Riders traveling along the section of State Route 48 between Stroop Road and Alex Bell Road will be directed to Route 6 instead of Route 17.
