Delaware Jury Finds Arm Breached Qualcomm License
A Delaware jury found that Arm breached its architectural license agreement with Qualcomm and intentionally sought to disrupt the chipmaker’s business, awarding Qualcomm just $2 in nominal damages. Qualcomm welcomed the finding, while Arm emphasized that the jury ruled in its favor on four claims and said the small award supported its position that it had acted in good faith. Arm shares fell after the verdict. The case stems from a broader licensing dispute involving Qualcomm’s custom chip technology and its acquisition of Nuvia.
