Delaware Voters Pick Nominees in 33 Primary Contests
Delaware voters are choosing nominees in 33 contested primary races on Sept. 15, including contests for the U.S. Senate, the state’s lone U.S. House seat, six state Senate seats, 18 state House seats and five county offices. The Democratic Senate primary features incumbent Chris Coons seeking a fourth term against three challengers, while Michael Katz and John Shulli are competing for the Republican nomination. Several races are effectively decisive because the primary winner will face no opposition in November. Election officials will continue processing ballots and certifying results before nominees turn to the Nov. 3 general election.
