Democrats Rally Across Midwest Before Election
Democrats made last-minute campaign stops in Wisconsin, Indiana and Ohio ahead of the midterm elections, urging supporters to vote and emphasizing affordability, health care and support for working families. In Wisconsin, Lt. Gov. candidate Sarah Godlewski, Attorney General Josh Kaul and Sen. Tammy Baldwin rallied in Viroqua and La Crosse, arguing that rising costs and close races make every vote important; Baldwin also said Democrats see opportunities to gain congressional seats. Indiana Democrats rallied in South Bend, where candidates called for greater respect and attention to everyday workers, and treasurer candidate Coumba Kebe highlighted budget priorities including child care and public health. In Toledo, Ohio, Democrats including Senate candidate Sherrod Brown, gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton and Rep. Marcy Kaptur sought to boost turnout in competitive races, criticizing opponents over costs, public services and alleged corruption.
