Designer Develops Portable Hangers for Fashion Weeks
Clothes hangers serve different needs, from organizing a home wardrobe to transporting garments for fashion shows and preserving vintage memorabilia. Matching hangers can make a closet look more orderly and help garments hang properly, with styles chosen to suit each item’s weight and shape. For fashion weeks, furniture designer Rasmus Palmgren created small collapsible hangers to make transporting large quantities easier, though they do not appear to be commercially available. A vintage 1960s hanger advertising The Breakers in Atlantic City is another example of hangers as collectibles.
