Developer Plans Myrtle Beach Mini Golf-to-Restaurant Conversion
Myrtle Beach developer Steve Ghidella plans to replace Lost Mine Miniature Golf, after another season of operation, with a restaurant and bar of up to 6,000 square feet; the project could take about two years, with a three-year completion window requested. The planning commission has raised concerns about the proposed building’s height and parking. Plans for a beachwear store in the neighboring former Magnolia’s building are now on hold while nearby construction of a 400-unit Drury Inn proceeds. Magnolia’s name remains with the Anderson family, which plans to open Magnolia’s Cafe in Conway.
