Disney Dreamers Academy plans four-city middle-school expansion
Disney is expanding its Dreamers Academy through a multi-year partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, shifting from an annual program for 100 high school students nationwide to year-round programming for middle schoolers in Atlanta, Houston, Miami and Orlando. The first cohort will include 200 students selected through participating clubs, including 50 in Orlando, with programming beginning in January 2027 after local kickoff events. Students will take part in virtual and in-person workshops, mentorship, career exploration and activities focused on personal and academic growth, including special programming at Walt Disney World. Disney says the new approach is intended to reach students earlier and provide sustained support in their communities.
