Dolphins Edge Rusher Chop Robinson Returns to Practice After Concussion
Miami Dolphins edge rusher Chop Robinson returned to practice Wednesday as he progresses through the NFL’s five-step concussion protocol and could be cleared to play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Robinson missed Miami’s 35-13 loss to San Francisco after suffering the concussion during practice, and his full participation suggests he is nearing the final stages of the process, though he still needs medical clearance and must complete contact work without symptoms. The return would be significant for a Dolphins defense that has recorded no sacks through two games and struggled to generate pressure. Robinson, a 2024 first-round pick, has 10 career sacks but has dealt with three known concussions in the past year and faces an important season as Miami considers his fifth-year contract option. Miami also reported that rookie receiver Caleb Douglas will miss practice with an ankle injury, while running back Jaylen Wright is expected to be limited with a stinger.
