Doors Guitarist Robby Krieger Announces Wife’s Death

The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger announced that his wife, Lynn Ann Veres, died peacefully on Oct. 29 at age 79. Krieger said he and their son, Waylon, were with her at the end; the couple married in 1972 and had been together for more than 50 years. Veres inspired the band’s 1971 hit “Love Her Madly,” which Krieger wrote, and he dedicated his 2021 memoir to her, calling her the only person who let him be himself. Krieger did not disclose a cause of death.
