Dozens of Newport Witches Dance Publicly

Communities in Newport and Rockford are embracing witch-themed public events this fall. Newport-area women and girls are performing a German-inspired Witches’ Dance in public spaces, while Rockford’s free, all-ages 2026 Witches Faire will feature dancing witches, a drum circle, vendors, food and other activities. A separate Halloween witches brunch is planned at Chanticlair, followed by a stroll along State Street. Unrelated to these events, Australian stoner-rock band Kitchen Witch has released its third album, The Space In Between.
