Drug Cases Bring 50-Plus Years in Three States
A Nevada drug-trafficking conspiracy led to a 188-month prison sentence for Reno’s Max Vaneeten, who helped distribute about 35 pounds of methamphetamine and a pound of cocaine; two co-defendants received sentences of 97 and 87 months. In North Carolina, Donquel Caron McEachern was sentenced to 17 years for a drug operation involving fentanyl, cocaine and other drugs, with investigators finding narcotics, firearms and body armor at Airbnb rentals used by the organization. Separately, a San Antonio man identified as a sergeant in the Texas Mexican Mafia was sentenced to more than 20 years in federal prison after an investigation uncovered his role in arranging proceeds for a planned multi-kilogram methamphetamine purchase.
