Druski Signs Netflix Deal for ‘Collect & Praise’
Comedian Druski, born Drew Desbordes, has signed a multiyear deal with Netflix through his 4Lifers Entertainment company to develop original projects, with the agreement covering a set number of projects rather than a traditional overall or first-look arrangement. The first release, the semi-scripted comedy series “Collect & Praise,” premieres Dec. 1 and stars Druski as a money-hungry megachurch pastor and Mike Epps as his deacon, as they navigate scandals and church chaos; the characters grew out of Druski’s viral sketches. Netflix will also license selected works from Druski’s online catalog, whose YouTube series and sketches have collectively drawn more than 1 billion views, marking a major studio partnership for a comedian who built his audience independently.
