Duke Rallies Past North Carolina

South Salem’s Kellen Bowman, Benjamin Greer and Samuel Johnson were thrust into varsity football as sophomores in 2024, producing strong numbers, earning all-conference honors and gaining valuable experience. Georgia Tech fell 34-24 to Virginia Tech to drop to 2-4, after a disastrous first half gave way to a second-half rally that narrowed the deficit but came up short. In Duke’s Victory Bell game against North Carolina, the Blue Devils trailed 17-7 at halftime after early defensive and special-teams miscues, while running back Nate Sheppard briefly played despite an ankle injury.
