E-bike crashes investigated in Kitchener, Chambersburg
Police are investigating two separate e-bike crashes. In Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, an e-bike and a vehicle collided Sunday near Twin Bridge Campground; a helicopter was requested, but authorities had not confirmed the number of injured people or whether anyone was flown to a hospital. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating. In Kitchener, Ontario, a 52-year-old e-bike rider suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a collision with a Toyota Camry. Police said the e-bike exceeded provincial motor-size and speed limits, making it a motor vehicle under the law; the rider faces several licensing, registration, insurance and related charges, while the car’s driver was charged with turning unsafely.
