Eagles Activate Stowers for Expected Cowboys Debut
0
The Philadelphia Eagles activated rookie tight end Eli Stowers from injured reserve, setting up his long-awaited NFL debut against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. The second-round pick missed the season’s first several weeks with hamstring and quad injuries, after a challenging training camp and preseason in which he was adjusting to the NFL and the Eagles’ offense. Coach Nick Sirianni praised Stowers’ speed and athleticism in practice, but he will compete for playing time behind Dallas Goedert and alongside other tight ends. With key pass catchers sidelined, the game gives Stowers an opportunity to show why Philadelphia drafted him.
