Eagles Opt for Friday Flight to London Ahead of Jaguars Game

The Philadelphia Eagles will practice at home before flying to London on Friday for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, leaving them less than two days to adjust to the time difference before returning immediately after the game to prepare for Carolina. Coach Nick Sirianni said the team weighed several travel options and believes the late departure best suits its schedule and gives the team the best chance to win, though the compressed adjustment period has drawn criticism. The trip is also an opportunity for Philadelphia tourism officials to promote the city in the U.K., a growing source of visitors expected to generate significant spending for local hotels, attractions and museums.
