Emergency response drills reported across multiple regions
Emergency agencies in several communities are conducting exercises to strengthen responses to local hazards and large-scale emergencies. Belleville responders are holding a public-notified exercise, while Hancock County is staging a three-day mass-casualty simulation to assess agencies’ readiness amid rapid growth. In Youngstown, firefighters are training to contain hazardous-material leaks and increasingly preparing for technology-related attacks on critical infrastructure such as water-treatment plants. Around Lake Tenkiller, fire, medical and emergency-management crews practiced medical airlift coordination and rescues at the dam and spillway.
