Barbara Eden, 95, cancels Cinecon appearance amid sudden illness
Barbara Eden canceled her scheduled appearance at the Cinecon Classic Film Festival in Los Angeles on Sept. 5 because of a sudden illness, according to festival organizers, who did not disclose further details. Eden, 95, was set to receive the Cinecon Legacy Award and appear at a screening of the 1961 film All Hands on Deck. Her co-star Pat Boone accepted the award on her behalf, while organizers and fans sent wishes for her recovery. Eden is best known for starring as Jeannie in the classic NBC sitcom I Dream of Jeannie, which ran from 1965 to 1970, as well as for her film and television career.
