Dolly Parton nephew accuses manager of bad faith after security firing

Bryan Seaver, Dolly Parton’s nephew and head of security for more than two decades, was reportedly dismissed along with his security companies from all of Parton’s properties less than a month after her death at age 80. Replacement security teams have taken over Parton’s Nashville homes, museum and warehouse. Seaver’s representatives said they were “dismayed” by the unexplained decision and accused longtime manager Danny Nozell and Pinnacle Bank of acting in bad faith and seeking to profit from Parton’s legacy; no response from those parties has been reported. The termination notice reportedly states that Parton’s professional interests are controlled by the DP Dean Trust, while Seaver’s personal stake in the trust remains intact. Seaver had also been appointed by the family to announce Parton’s death.
