Caleb Flynn Found Guilty of Wife’s Murder

Former American Idol contestant and pastor Caleb Flynn was found guilty by an Ohio jury on all nine felony counts, including aggravated murder, in the Feb. 16, 2026, shooting death of his wife, Ashley, at their Tipp City home. Prosecutors said he staged the scene to resemble a home invasion and cited his affair with Alleigha Botner and messages in which he discussed wanting his wife dead. The defense argued the state had not established that Flynn was the killer, pointing to the missing murder weapon and limited forensic evidence. Jurors deliberated for a little over two hours. Flynn faces life in prison without parole, and sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 5; two misdemeanor intimidation counts were dismissed before the verdict.
