Miley Cyrus Honors Dolly Parton at Hollywood Bowl
Miley Cyrus became tearful during her October 16 Hollywood Bowl concert while honoring her late godmother, Dolly Parton, who died in August at age 80 after a private battle with cancer. Before performing “Jolene,” Cyrus recalled Parton surprising her at the same venue by opening the show with the “Hannah Montana” theme and telling the audience Cyrus was there. Cyrus said she feels Parton’s presence, described their bond as eternal and called the memory “gold” to her.
