Hulu has ordered Ryan Coogler’s reimagining of The X-Files to series. Danielle Deadwyler and Himesh Patel will star as two contrasting FBI agents assigned to a dormant unit investigating unexplained phenomena; they will portray new characters rather than Mulder and Scully. Coogler wrote and directed the pilot and will executive produce, with Jennifer Yale as showrunner and original creator Chris Carter also serving as an executive producer. The series is produced by Proximity Media, Onyx Collective and 20th Television.

Not sure about the new leads but the premise of fresh agents chasing cases still sounds interesting.

Coogler writing and directing the pilot gives me some hope this won't feel like a cash grab.
