Dwayne Johnson Transforms for Lizard Music

Dwayne Johnson has begun filming Benny Safdie’s *Lizard Music* in New York, appearing almost unrecognizable under extensive makeup and prosthetics as the elderly, gray-haired Chicken Man. Adapted from Daniel Pinkwater’s novel, the live-action and CGI fantasy follows a boy who discovers musical lizards on a mysterious late-night broadcast and befriends the eccentric Chicken Man and his chicken, Claudia, as they search for a hidden society. The film reunites Johnson and Safdie after *The Smashing Machine* and also features Theo Clark Leber, Alicia Silverstone, Regina Hall, Colman Domingo, Jeff Goldblum and Rachel McAdams, among others. Amazon MGM Studios has scheduled the theatrical release for Dec. 25, 2027.
