Lochte’s Ex-Wife Disputes Fiancée’s Custody Claims

Kayla Rae Reid has criticized Ryan Lochte’s fiancée, Molly Gillihan, for discussing Reid’s children and custody arrangements publicly, asking that she and the children be left out of their relationship’s public conversation. Reid disputes Gillihan’s account of visitation, saying the children spend one month of summer with Lochte and share Christmas break equally, and says she carries most of the parenting and financial responsibilities. Gillihan had said Lochte sees the children monthly and hosts them for Christmas break, spring break and much of the summer, adding that the time is not enough. Lochte said he and Gillihan miss and love the children, accused Reid of shaping a negative public narrative, and said he deleted a post responding to Reid at Gillihan’s request. He also urged an end to online bullying and cited his past mental-health struggles.
