Stallone Says Daughter’s Tulsa King Role Is Nepotism

Sylvester Stallone has defended casting his daughter Scarlet Rose Stallone in “Tulsa King,” openly calling it nepotism and saying parents naturally use their opportunities to help their children. He argues that getting a role is only an open door; Scarlet must demonstrate the talent to keep it, and her character Spencer has grown from a barista and stablehand into a more central figure in the crime drama. Stallone says her story will continue developing in Season 5, while joking that she does not always take his fatherly advice on set. He is also set to appear in about two and a half episodes of “Frisco King,” the “Tulsa King” spinoff starring Samuel L. Jackson, who reprises his role as Russell Lee Washington Jr.
