Jennifer Lawrence Confirms Hunger Games Return

Jennifer Lawrence has confirmed she will reprise Katniss Everdeen in *The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping*, alongside Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark and Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy. The returning characters are expected to appear in a later-set epilogue or framing sequence connected to the prequel. Set 24 years before the first film, it follows 16-year-old Haymitch, played by Joseph Zada, in the 50th Hunger Games, where each district must send twice the usual number of tributes. Lawrence described reuniting with Hutcherson and the original crew as emotional, recalling that she and Hutcherson stayed arm in arm and joking that Harrelson entered her hotel room through a window. The film is scheduled to open in theaters on November 20.
