Netflix Developing PUBG Series With Donald Glover

Netflix is developing a live-action series based on Krafton’s battle-royale game PUBG, but the project has not been confirmed for a full series order. Donald Glover is attached to star, write, direct and executive produce, with his brother Stephen Glover also writing and executive producing. Michael Schaefer, Fam Udeorji and executives from Krafton’s entertainment division are also attached as executive producers, alongside producers from Neon TV, Gilga and Krafton’s LV3H. Plot and further casting details have not been disclosed. Released in 2017, PUBG helped popularize the battle-royale genre and remains widely played, though it has little established narrative for the adaptation to draw on. The project adds to Netflix’s growing slate of video-game adaptations.
