I Play Rocky Set for November 6 Release

Peter Farrelly’s *I Play Rocky* tells how struggling actor Sylvester Stallone insisted on starring in his screenplay about underdog boxer Rocky Balboa, turning a risky project into the 1976 hit that won three Academy Awards. Anthony Ippolito plays Stallone, and the film parallels Stallone’s fight to get the movie made with Ippolito’s own breakthrough. Critics have praised Ippolito’s transformation and the film’s blend of humor and human drama. Following its Toronto premiere and a New York red-carpet event, the film is scheduled to open in theaters November 6.
