Jalen Brunson Makes SVU Acting Debut

New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson made his scripted acting debut as Detective Jay Madison in the “Forsaken” episode of NBC’s “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” appearing opposite his friend Mariska Hargitay as Captain Olivia Benson. In a brief scene, Madison shares details of a past traffic stop that help Benson connect a metal self-defense tool to the assault of a 16-year-old girl, leading investigators toward a teenage suspect. The scene includes a joking nod to Brunson’s basketball career. The cameo fulfilled Brunson’s wish to appear on the show and Hargitay’s hope to bring him onto SVU.
