Lady Gaga, Shakira Lead 2027 Songwriters Hall Nominees

The 2027 Songwriters Hall of Fame ballot features 26 nominees, including Lady Gaga, Shakira, P!nk, Jack White, Boy George, Ne-Yo, Sia, Vince Gill, Debbie Harry and Chris Stein of Blondie, and members of ZZ Top, War and America. It also includes non-performing hitmakers such as Boy Meets Girl, Kandi Burruss, Pete Bellotte, Stock Aitken Waterman, Dan Wilson and Maurice Starr. Eligible voters may select up to three nominees in each of the performing-songwriter and non-performing songwriter categories, with ballots due Dec. 14; six inductees are expected to be announced in early 2027. Ne-Yo, a former recipient of the Hall’s Hal David Starlight Award, could follow Taylor Swift as a Starlight honoree elevated to full induction. If War’s eight nominated members are inducted, they would form the largest ensemble in the Hall’s history.
