Maya Jama Announces Love Island Host Departure

Maya Jama has announced she is stepping down as host of ITV’s Love Island after nine series, thanking viewers and the production team and saying she is ready to pursue something new. Jama took over from Laura Whitmore in 2023 and also hosted Love Island spin-offs. ITV praised her contribution, but the show has not confirmed a successor. Coral’s odds make former contestant Olivia Attwood the favourite to replace her, with Maura Higgins and Vick Hope also in contention; Sam Thompson is tipped if producers choose a male host.
