Espanyol dismissed coach Manolo González after a 4-3 extra-time loss to fourth-tier Sestao River eliminated the La Liga club in the Copa del Rey’s first round. The defeat came amid a poor run of form that left Espanyol 18th in the league, with the club having lost six of its first 10 matches.
