The 2026 WNBA Finals match the Golden State Valkyries against the Atlanta Dream, with both franchises seeking their first championship. Golden State reached the Finals in just its second season by sweeping the defending champion Las Vegas Aces, while Atlanta swept the New York Liberty to earn its first Finals berth since 2013. Game 1 is scheduled for Oct. 17 at Chase Center, with the Finals airing on NBC and streaming on Peacock. The playoff run has also drawn record attention: ESPN says its coverage through the semifinals averaged 1.4 million viewers across eight games, up 23% from the same stage in 2025.
