Evansville Murder Suspect Arrested in Kentucky

Eighteen-year-old Keaton Howard was arrested in Morganfield, Kentucky, and preliminarily charged with murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old James Brown in Evansville. Brown was found dead from a gunshot wound in the 800 block of Madison Avenue late Sunday night after reports of gunfire. Howard remains in Kentucky custody pending extradition to Vanderburgh County, and Evansville police say the investigation is ongoing. Separately, police arrested 20-year-old Christian Simpson, alleging he provided Brown with a pistol before the shooting.
