Family Gatherings Include Tailgates, Dirt Races, Halloween Plans

Across the country, family-friendly outings range from seasonal celebrations to college football tailgates and local racing. New Century Fieldhouse in Kansas is hosting a Halloween-themed family night with activities, trick-or-treating and an optional food donation. In Kansas City, a volunteer-run Jeep tailgate at Arrowhead serves food and drinks to raise money for Kids Hope, while Syracuse’s Family Weekend tailgates bring parents together for music, food and school spirit. Michigan State’s Family Weekend tailgate has scheduled entry and venue rules, including no re-entry and no outside drinks. In Oklahoma City, I44-Speedway offers families an informal night out watching races on its red-clay oval.
