Stacker used Zillow data to rank cities inside individual metros by one-year change in typical home value, with charts of monthly values since January 2018. The typical U.S. home value was $369,678 in August, up 1.3% from a year earlier; articles dated a month earlier cited a July figure of $371,757, up 1.1%. In the York-Hanover, PA metro, Felton at $354,572, up $18,120 (5.4%) over one year and $92,843 (35.5%) over five years, while Dover rose $7,263 (2.5%) to $296,542. In the Winston-Salem, NC metro, Sandy Ridge rose $26,924 (12.7%); Jonesville fell $18,269 (10.4%); Winston-Salem city itself rose $443 (0.2%) to $263,057. In the Yakima, WA metro, White Swan rose $18,574 (6.2%) to $319,933 and Mabton fell $4,894 (1.7%); Yakima city rose $2,904 (0.8%) to $361,999. No factual disputes are recorded. Coverage was localized metro lists rated center and right; no left-rated headlines appear.
