Father Killed Helping Daughter in San Diego I-15 Crash

A 65-year-old father was killed early Monday after he went to help his daughter, whose car had stalled with her children inside on northbound Interstate 15 near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego. A Toyota Corolla struck the man’s minivan near the center divider, triggering a chain-reaction crash involving additional vehicles. Two drivers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries; the daughter and children were unharmed. The crash closed northbound lanes for several hours and remains under investigation.
