FCC Grants Intel One-Year Chip-Plant AGV Waiver

The FCC granted Intel a one-year waiver to modify foreign-made automated guided vehicles used inside its U.S. semiconductor plants, providing temporary relief from restrictions on certain foreign-produced robotics. Intel said replacing the vehicles could take years and disrupt manufacturing, and the agency said the waiver would help avoid interruptions to domestic semiconductor production. The exemption applies only to specified vehicles and modifications; broader restrictions remain in place.
