Fears, Haugh Lead AP Preseason All-America Team

Michigan State guard Jeremy Fears Jr. and Florida forward Thomas Haugh lead the Associated Press preseason All-America team for the 2026-27 men’s college basketball season, receiving 57 and 56 votes, respectively, from a 58-member media panel. Vanderbilt guard Tyler Tanner, Illinois forward David Mirkovic and Arizona center Motiejus Krivas complete the five-player team. Fears is returning after averaging 15.2 points and a nation-best 9.4 assists per game, while Haugh—Florida’s leading scorer on its 2025 national championship team—also bypassed the NBA draft; Florida is ranked No. 1 and Michigan State No. 6 in the preseason poll.
