Boston Jewish and Rome Film Festivals Set November Dates With Star Guests
Film festivals in Boston and Rome are presenting international selections alongside filmmaker appearances, discussions and special events in fall 2026. The Boston Jewish Film Festival runs November 4–15 with 15 films from nine countries, exploring Jewish history and identity, family, faith and LGBTQ+ experiences, with post-screening conversations. Rome, Georgia’s Rome International Film Festival takes place November 5–8, featuring films from 18 nations, filmmaker discussions and guests including Danny McBride, Ray McKinnon and Jared and Jerusha Hess; its closing program honors Dolly Parton. Coverage of the Rome Film Fest also highlights films connecting personal stories with wider community impact, including a project whose proceeds will support the community it portrays, as well as events supporting hospital cinema programs.
