AT&T Raises 2026 Profit Outlook, Revenue Rises 5.3%
AT&T reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $32.3 billion, up 5.3% year over year and above analyst expectations, and adjusted earnings per share of 65 cents, up from 54 cents. GAAP earnings per share from continuing operations fell to 13 cents from $1.29, reflecting a noncash impairment tied to the planned sale of its Mexico wireless business and a prior-year gain from the DIRECTV transaction. AT&T added 379,000 postpaid phone customers, 442,000 fiber internet users and 327,000 fixed-wireless subscribers, with wireless and broadband growth supported by bundles and fiber expansion. The company raised its 2026 adjusted EPS forecast to about $2.40 from $2.25–$2.35 and expects free cash flow of at least $18 billion in 2026. It maintained plans to return more than $45 billion to shareholders through 2028.
