Fires Displace At Least 18 Across Communities

Separate house fires in Summerville, North Huntingdon, Sullivan County and Huntersville damaged homes and affected residents. In Summerville, a family of five was displaced and is receiving Red Cross help; the cause has not been released. In North Huntingdon, occupants escaped without injury, and residents were reunited with two cats after firefighters extinguished the blaze. A Sullivan County fire displaced seven people and killed four pets, while a Huntersville fire damaged two homes and displaced six people and three pets; the Huntersville fire’s cause is under investigation.
