Five-Day Razor Clam Digs Set at Copalis, Mocrocks
Washington officials have approved five days of recreational razor clam digging at Copalis and Mocrocks beaches, Nov. 7–11, with evening low-tide openings alternating between the two beaches. Long Beach and Twin Harbors remain closed because domoic acid levels exceed health guidelines, and those beaches cannot reopen until testing shows toxin levels are safe. Officials warn that rough surf and swells above 11 feet could make digging hazardous, and say lower clam populations at Copalis and Mocrocks may make limits harder to reach and lead to fewer digging dates in the 2026–27 season. The daily limit is 15 clams per person; diggers must keep their first 15 clams and store each person’s catch separately.
