Five MEAC alumni, led by veterans Cook and Durant, make 2026 NFL rosters
As NFL teams finalize their 53-man rosters for the 2026 season, five former MEAC players from Howard, Morgan State and South Carolina State are represented across the league. South Carolina State and Morgan State each have two players on rosters, while Howard has one, including established veterans Bryan Cook and Cobie Durant and newer players Elijah Williams and Erick Hunter. Nationally, Alabama leads college programs with 62 active NFL players, followed by other major talent-producing schools such as Ohio State and Georgia. The rankings also highlight the substantial current and projected earnings of players from these programs.
