Five Pontiac, Ford Classics Listed Across Auctions
Several Pontiac performance cars and other enthusiast vehicles are currently being offered at auction, spanning original survivors, refreshed classics and modern tributes. A 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP convertible with 32,000 miles is listed without reserve on Bring a Trailer; its automatic transmission, limited documentation and potential age-related maintenance needs temper its estimated value of roughly $13,000 to $17,000. A modified 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with 50,000 miles, a rebuilt 400-cubic-inch V8 and visible cosmetic wear is also attracting bids well below the broader second-generation Trans Am market benchmark. At the other end of the originality spectrum, a one-owner 1977 Trans Am showing 8,000 miles comes with extensive factory documentation and its original 400 V8, making it a particularly compelling, though likely premium-priced, survivor. A 2013 Hurst Trans Am tribute combines a Camaro SS convertible platform, 6.2-liter V8 and six-speed manual with black-and-gold styling, while a 1992 Ford Thunderbird offers a more affordable modern-classic alternative with 60,000 miles, a 5.0-liter V8 and extensive recent maintenance.
