Five Trail Deaths Prompt Serial-Killer Fears in Lansing
Police in Lansing, Michigan, are investigating five deaths along the Lansing River Trail since last October and have not ruled out the possibility that they are connected. Four deaths have been classified as homicides; police say the victims were unhoused men, and several attacks occurred in the early-morning hours. A man has been arrested in connection with one homicide, but investigators have not said whether he is linked to the other cases. Police are increasing patrols and security cameras and working with local organizations serving unhoused people as the investigation continues.
